Goodness of Dragon fruit

Dragon fruit is the best gift of mother earth. Every part of the plant (flesh, skin, stem, seedlings and flowers) presents different functions and all of them can be harvested into enzymes that bring endless benefits to human body.
Dragon fruit is rich in vitamins and nutrients, it’s flesh is high in water, fiber, carbohydrate, Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B12,C, fructose, glucose, calcium, phosphorus, iron and etc. It is also rich in procyanidins that is rarely found in other plants, water-soluble dietary fibres and plant proteins.
- Plant protein:
Material that is sticky and contains collagen. Flower, fruit and stem of pitaya plant has some of the best plant protein. It has detoxification effect towards heavy metal pollution and has a protective effect to the parietal.
- Procyanidins (high in Costa Rica Pitaya):

Some other facts about Dragon Fruit nutrition are:
- Particularly red-skinned pitayas are a good source of Vitamin C.
- Pitayas are rich in fiber and minerals, notably phosphorus and calcium. Red pitayas seem to be richer in the former, yellow ones in the latter.
- The seeds are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, and in particular Red Pitayas contain very little saturated fat.
- Pitahayas also contain significant quantities of phytoalbumin antioxidants, which prevent the formation of cancer-causing free radicals.
- In Taiwan, diabetics use the fruit as a food substitute for rice and as a source of dietary fibre.
